Back from Japan...*sigh*. I had such a great time there...already wondering when I'll be able to go again, but I know it'll be a while. Japan is such a beautiful country, and I just love the culture and environment of it. Now back in the good ol USA planning my next step...

Today, I experienced what it could be like wearing a corset back in the day, even though I'm sure it still didn't even come close.  I wore a yukata (summer kimono) today to a festival and, boy, was the belt on like a permanent bear hug just around my waist.  The lady who helped me definitely knew what she was doing, (because wearing a yukata is quite complicated for a beginner), but I just kept thinking, `uggg, does it have to be this tight?!'  I just had to trust her.  But, man, I just kept thinking about those people in corsets.  Talk about having a hard time to breathe, walk, AND sit.  The man's yukata looks much more comfy; its basically just a cotton bathrobe tied at the waste.   Nonetheless, I liked the way my yukata looked in the end.  I plan to take my yukata back to the states with me but I doubt I'll get to wear it again, because no one will know how to wear it, especially where I live.  But I know they have like 'cheater' yukatas, where the belt is simply wrapped around, and the bow is like a clip on.  Maybe it was kids' that I saw, haha, I dunno!

Ok, this has nothing to do with Japan, but I just found out the news:

Lance Bass of N Sync is gay?!?!  For those who don't know, its the other blonde in the group who almost went into space a few years ago.  And if you still don't know which one I'm talking about, then I don't know what else to tell you except for 'the gay one'.

Man, after all these years...

I remember my college friend, Brittany, was a HUGE fan of N Sync, and Lance was her favorite (her dorm wall was just Lance).  When she told people that Lance was her favorite, they'd make fun of her so much saying 'oh gosh, he's so gay...Justin is way hotter.'  And she was so sweet to always defend him saying, 'he's NOT gay!  he's just the sweeter one of the group.'  Well, if that's what you wanna call it.

Oh, and found his boyfriend is one of the winner's from Amazing  Race, a few seasons back.  The winner and his 'husband/partner' at the time broke up not too long after the show finished airing.

Well, I think its great that Lance came out, and I'm sure he feels a weight off his shoulders.  I read that he was all stressed out bc of recent rumors about him being gay, and plus, he said coming out is also kind of, in a way, the 'end of N Sync', but I think we all know the end of N Sync happened when Justin Timberlake made a solo album.

Went to hot springs in Yufuin and just got back to good ol Kurume City.  It was my first time ever in a hot spring; I never even went to one when I was in Taiwan.  But it was so nice and relaxing!  And yes, it gets pretty darn hot in there.  Afterwards, I was thirstier than I thought, but sitting in hot water like that really makes you sweat more than you'd think.  Definitely a great experience.@Now I know why so many people like going to hot springs.  And it makes your skin feel so smooth!  No specific plans just yet, but I can't believe it's already the weekend!

No time for a long update, but wanted to say that I'm glad to see the rain finally stop (but who knows for how long right?)
